Scottish Chief's Hotel, Geelong

Protected by the Historic Building Act, this project included the refurbishment of a de-licensed hotel building dating from 1848. The new hotel included new lounge and bar areas, as well as an onsite micro brewery on public display. The design of the new sections of the Scottish Chiefs Hotel compliments the sensitive nature of the historic streetscape setting, and was awarded Victorian "Best Hotel Redevelopment" and "Best Bar" by the Australian Hotels Association in 1990. [Paul McDonald + Associates]
