'Ercildoune' Heritage Homestead & Community Centre
Coleman Architects were appointed by the City of Casey to undertake a design and feasibility program for the development of a former farmhouse into a new community facility. The development of the Ercildoune Homestead, settled in 1838, provides a viable, sustainable community facility principally for the residents of the immediate neighbourhood. The resulting design response conserves the heritage values of the property and links to its rural past, whilst providing a flexible multi-purpose facility suitable for a variety of community uses.
